Shack Chat: What Mii are you going to make first in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream?
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is out, and we're planning our first island Miis on this week's Shack Chat!
by Shack Staff · ShacknewsNintendo has finally released Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. We loved the game in review, and everyone is ready to jump in and start playing, so now the big question: Who the heck are you going to make? Living the Dream’s Mii Maker and art tools allow for vast possibilities and we’re raring to go as far as who we’ll make first. Find out which Miis we’re making below!
Question: What Mii are you going to make first in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream?
Mama Yaga - TJ Denzer, Reviewed the game
I have been playing Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream for a pretty long time already, and one of my first choices was making a mascot. Every good place needs a mascot. My island’s centerpiece is Mama Yaga. She is the only aged character on my island at a humble 115 years old. She’s also a friend to everyone. There’s actually a bit of a trend that to live on Arcadia, you must meet Mama Yaga. You can hang out with any other character, but if you don’t meet Mama Yaga, you’re not really getting the full experience. She’s tiny, sing-songy, and friendly to all. Heck, I might have to dress her for different occasions of the year. Everyone would probably be happy to get a present from a bearded Mama Yaga during the winter holidays.
Barack Obama - Asif Khan, Obama Miiverse 2012 Campaign Chairman
Folks, times are tough, and tough times need tough solutions. That’s why I created Barack Obama when I fired up Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream when the game dropped.
The Drifter - Bill Lavoy, Shackmaps Overlord
I’ll start by saying that I don’t know how close one could get to creating the Drifter from Destiny 2, but I’ve always loved that character. Not only do I think it would be fun to create Drifter, but I also actually think his aesthetic lends itself well to being created in other games. The beard stands out and lends itself well to just about any character creator.
FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper - Sam Chandler, Loves some damn fine coffee
I think the weird and wonderful world of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream needs a wonderfully wacky character like FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper. David Lynch’s cult classic Twin Peaks is one of my favorite television series thanks to its soap opera qualities, dark undertones, and off kilter characters. Dale Cooper, in particular, is a strange man. He’s an FBI agent, so naturally he’s a logical man, but he’s also not above digging into the mystic and supernatural.
Blade - Dennis White Jr., Is not ice-skating uphill
I’m tossing Wesley Snipes into this game. Everyone will show respect to the Daywalker! I need the premium widows peak and high-top fade. I’m not familiar if the game has the kinda leather attire that I would put the man in. But I know that I can get the fangs poppin’ at some point. It would also be fun to set up his personality traits and dynamics with other characters. If I add the Omega mutant herself, Storm into the mix, will they hit it off or will she tell him to get out of her face? What if hubby T’Challa takes a vacation from Wakanda? Yeah, I can be messy, ha ha. But yes, my first Mii would be Eric Brooks and the vamps in my future Tomodachi Life plans better look out!
Blonde Blazer - Donovan Erskine, Mii Mayor
Every one in a blue moon, a movie, show, or video game comes around that alters my brain chemistry a little bit. That’s exactly what Dispatch did, so yes, I’m still thinking about those characters all these months later. Therefore, once my Mii is established on my island, the first person to join him will be Mandy herself, Blonde Blazer. I’ll get around to the rest of the Z-Team as well, but I’ve got to kick things off with my favorite!
Batman and more - Steve Tyminski, It’s all about Mii!
What Mii am I going to make first in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream? My first obvious answer is that I’m going to make myself first. How can I not craft the host of The Stevetendo Show? As for crafting things people might actually know, I think I have a few options to do next, like Batman or the Terminator. How cool would it be is I have Batman wondering around my dream island looking for perps, or love? I say this in advance, my Mii making skill is not great so you’ve been warned. I might try to make more Nintendo characters after I get the feel for the Mii maker on here like Squirtle or Link, but one Mii at a time.
That covers our Mii’s we’re going to make, but what are you going to make in Tomodachi Life? Let us know in the comments below!
