All Missing Cuccos in Kakariko Village - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The cucco lady lost her flock. Help her find them with this guide.

The cucco lady in southwest Kakariko Village doesn’t do the best job of keeping track of her cuccos. She’s lost all seven, and only you can help her get them back. Here’s where to find each cucco, and your reward for returning them.

All missing cuccos

Before you begin, note that you’ll want to leave one of the early, easy-to-find cuccos for later. You’ll need one cucco to reach the later ones, so keep that in mind as you gather them.

Right away, you’ll notice the first cucco milling around inside the entrance to Kakariko Village. We’re going to save this one for later. Instead, turn around from the cucco lady’s pen and you’ll notice one cucco standing on a pile of bricks. There’s no way to climb up, so shoot it with your slingshot to make it fall off. (No real chickens were harmed in the making of this guide.)

You can find the second cucco in the northwestern part of the village, just above a set of steps.

The third cucco can be found hiding in a crate next to a building near the center of town. Roll into the crate to smash it open, then carry the cucco home.

Time to put the cucco just inside Kakariko Village to use. Grab it, then go all the way to the back of the village and head up the stairs next to the windmill. Run down the length of the walkway and use the cucco to fly over the fence on the far side. Once you’re on the other side, go up the stairs on your right and toss the cucco you flew with over the fence; it’ll wait for you there. Now grab the cucco on the ground near the fence and toss it over, too. 

Before you hop the fence and return the cuccos, climb the ladder behind you. There’s another ladder; climb it and you’ll see another cucco roaming the plains above. Toss him to the far side to join the others. You’re finally done here, so return  them all to the lady’s pen.

The final cucco, number seven, is hanging around the construction site, which you’ll see as soon as you enter Kakariko Village.
