AMD Q3 2025 earnings results beat analysts' EPS and revenue expectations
On the strength of its Data Center and gaming sectors, AMD has reported a $9.2 billion quarterly revenue figure.
by Ozzie Mejia · ShacknewsTech giant AMD issued its latest quarterly report on Tuesday. The company continues to do well, reporting a record 3rd quarter revenue figure of $9.2 billion USD that's well above analyst estimates. While the company's EPS number came inline with the whisper number, it did beat the consensus estimates from Wall Street, putting AMD in a strong position heading into January's Consumer Electronics Show.
"We delivered an outstanding quarter, with record revenue and profitability reflecting broad based demand for our high-performance EPYC and Ryzen processors and Instinct AI accelerators," AMD chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su said in the AMD Q3 2025 earnings report. "Our record third quarter performance and strong fourth quarter guidance marks a clear step up in our growth trajectory as our expanding compute franchise and rapidly scaling data center AI business drive significant revenue and earnings growth."
AMD's Q3 2025 numbers include $4.3 billion from its Data Center sector, which is up 22 percent year-over-year. Close behind was the company's client and gaming sector, which is at $4 billion and up 73 percent year-over-year. Touting the sales of Radeon gaming GPUs and other AMD products, gaming alone accounts for $1.3 billion of AMD's quarterly revenue, up a massive 181 percent from this point in 2024.
AMD ended the Tuesday, November 4 trading day down $9.60/share, a number that is slowly recovering in after-hours trading.
AMD has set its Q4 2025 guidance figure to $9.6 billion, give or take $300 million. It should be noted that none of AMD's figures, both for this quarter or for the Q4 guidance, account for AMD Instinct MI308 shipments to China. Expect to hear more from Dr. Su during Tuesday's conference call, which we'll bring to you right here at Shacknews.
