The Wolf Among Us 2 will remember your key choices from The Wolf Among Us Remastered
There's another reason to catch up with Telltale's Fabletown saga.
by Ozzie Mejia · ShacknewsTelltale Games released The Wolf Among Us Remastered today in an effort to bring new players up to speed and also help fans of the original catch up with the story so far. However, there's another incentive to dive back into the world of DC Vertigo's Fables. On Thursday, Telltale revealed that any major choices made in The Wolf Among Us Remastered will carry over to the long-awaited sequel, The Wolf Among Us 2.
Telltale quietly updated The Wolf Among Us Remastered's store listings, including the one on Steam, to reflect this new detail. Upon starting The Wolf Among Us Remastered, players will be prompted to create or log into their Telltale Accounts. Telltale Accounts will keep track of a player's key choices over the course of the remaster's story. Whenever The Wolf Among Us 2 eventually releases, players can then log into that same Telltale Account and bring up those choices, which will then be applied to the new story. This further adds to the idea that the sequel will be a direct follow-up to the events of the original game.
There's no exact release timing for The Wolf Among Us 2, but Telltale fully expects to have it ready in 2027. The team has been working on the sequel for years and even hit a point where it had to restart from scratch, switching over to Unreal Engine 5. The Wolf Among Us Remastered is available today on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One. You can read my full impressions on that game now. The Wolf Among Us 2 is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2027.
