  • Reminder: this song is about Travis Kelce!

Taylor Swift has once again blessed us with a music video! The Grammy winner dropped the video for "Opalite" this morning, and it's basically the cutest rom com ever, starring Taylor as a woman dating a large rock (yes, you read that right) and Domhnall Gleeson as a man dating a cactus. Then they find each other, fall in love, and do some terrible dacing. It's...perfect. And available to watch on Spotify and Apple Music!

FYI, fans figured out that "Opalite" was a love song about Taylor's fiancé Travis Kelce thanks to the fact that opal happens to be his birthstone. Meanwhile, Tay confirmed this while talking to Capital FM, saying "Travis' birthstone is an opal, so I've always fixated on that, I've always loved that stone. I thought it was kind of cool metaphor. [Opalite is] a man-made opal, and happiness can also be man-made, too. So, that's kind of what the song is about, kind of the juxtaposition of those two."

The song also has some interesting info about Trav's unnamed ex being on her phone all the time when Tay sings "you couldn't understand it / why you felt alone / you were in it for real / she was in her phone.

Tay told Hits Radio, "When we go through something that doesn't work out, we oftentimes look at it as this major setback, like we've taken a step back. But I’ve found that so many of those instances in my life can catapult you forward in growth, in wisdom, in perspective." 'Opalite' is a song about forgiving yourself for having gone through something that didn't pan out the way you wanted it to. It's giving yourself permission to not have it all figured out or not marry the first person you ever dated."
