Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater Secretly Broke Up Months Ago, According to TMZ

Looks like Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are no longer dating! TMZ just broke news of the couple’s split after three years of being in a relationship, saying they actually parted ways “quietly” a few months ago.

Sources say that the pair are still amicable and good friends, and that they gave their breakup “careful consideration” before deciding to make it official and part ways. No word as to what lead to the split just yet, but insiders made it clear that Ari’s new album was not inspired by the breakup, and the songs on the album are not about Ethan.

As a reminder, the exes met on set of Wicked and started dating after they both separated from their exes, Dalton Gomez and Lilly Jay.

They’ve kept their relationship pretty private (impressive considering they went through two Wicked PR cycles!), but did deal with some breakup rumors last year. Back in November a People source squashed them by saying they were “making it work” despite their busy schedules and added “They both have a lot going on, but their relationship is the real deal. They’re incredibly supportive of each other’s careers and so excited for everyone to see their new film.”

Neither Ariana or Ethan have confirmed their reported breakup so far (Ariana’s currently busy on tour!) but stay tuned.
