The 'Stranger Things' Finale Is "Completely Surprising" and "Satisfying"
· CosmopolitanThe final episode ever of Stranger Things airs in a mere matter of hours (8 pm ET, to be specific), and there are a ton of theories floating around about what might happen. Some options?
- The gang simply follows the plan / blows up the Upside Down so Dimension X can't merge with the human world.
- Blowing up the Upside Down triggers time travel which takes everyone back to before Hawkins Lab was even created. (More on that here.)
- We find out that Will has been possessed by Vecna ever since he started using his powers, and the Mind Flayer makes a triumphant return. (More on that here and here.)
But no matter what happens, executive producer Shawn Levy promises we'll be completely surprised. Speaking to People, Shawn said fans will "get a lot" of information in the final episode, including "an even deeper understanding of Henry Creel and Vecna."
He also called the episode a "masterpiece" and said "You will get outcomes. Outcomes that are deeply satisfying, but many of which are completely surprising... I just want to assure all of the people around the world who have walked the long road with us for nearly a decade, this finale is what you've been waiting for."
There are a lot of loose ends to cover (where, or where is the Mind Flayer!) so cannot. wait.
