Thought You’d See Jacob Elordi and Kendall Jenner at the Met Gala? Think Again, Because He Fully Skipped It

Remember when you were minding your business and then DeuxMoi informed everyone that Jacob Elordi and Kendall Jenner hooked up at Justin Bieber’s Coachella after-party? Well, it’s been crickets ever since, and while fans were hoping to catch a glimpse of the pair interacting at the 2026 Met Gala, they were sadly mistaken.

Obviously, Jacob and Kendall didn’t reunite on fashion’s biggest night because the Wuthering Heights star fully didn’t show up. And, according to Page Six Hollywoodand Variety, it’s for a pretty unfortunate reason. Reports claim Jacob was being courted for the Cannes Film Festival’s official jury, but he had to drop out and be replaced because he broke his foot. This year’s fest takes place from May 12 to 23, so this may be a recent development that got in the way of his second appearance on the Met steps. He last attended (and made his debut at) the coveted event in 2022.

While news about Kendall and Jacob’s relationship is pretty recent, apparently they’ve been secretly dating for months. A source told People, “They’ve been hanging out and getting to know each other the last couple months.”

Meanwhile, another insider told the Daily Mail that Kylie Jenner is alllll for her sister dating Jacob, saying, “Kylie would fully support a relationship between the two as she has mentioned on many occasions that they could do a bunch of fun double dates. They both can have their Oscar nominated men and just have the best times ever.”
