Buenos Aires Police Speak Out About Liam Payne's Tragic Death

The Buenos Aires police have released a statement about the tragic death of Liam Payne on Wednesday, October 16.

Speaking to La Nacion (via Us Weekly), Buenos Aires emergency services chief Alberto Crescenti said the One Direction band member had “serious injuries” after falling from a hotel balcony.

“Our role was to head there quickly, give medical attention, and try to resuscitate him, but his injuries were incompatible with life,” Crescenti said. “Based on what the team saw, there was apparently a cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death.”

He added, “The team could do absolutely nothing. There was no resuscitation because it was confirmed that he had died. The whole body had very serious injuries.”

Liam's tragic death is being investigated by local law enforcement. His family released a statement to the BBC saying "We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul. We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time."
