Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed may be a comedy, but it’s a dark comedy with a surprising amount of twists and turns. The series stars Tatiana Maslany and Jake Johnson, and is definitely more Orphan Black (minus the sci-fi stuff) than New Girl. Maslany plays a divorced mom named Paula who’s already going through it, and then gets in way over her head when she thinks she witnesses a murder. Johnson plays Karl, her concerned ex-husband, and Jessy Hedges plays his annoyingly kind new wife Mallory. The rest of the cast includes Dolly de Leon, Charlie Hall, Brandon Flynn, and Murray Bartlett. Some are allies, others are enemies, and all are along for what looks like a wild ride.
