The Huawei MatePad Air (2026) is now available in Malaysia and the Middle East

The latest Huawei MatePad Air (2026) was unveiled last month alongside the Huawei FreeClip 2 S. If you want to learn more about the tablet, check out our hands-on, which we wrote after a visit to Malaysia to attend the official launch.

The tablet is now available in Malaysia with a price for the 8/256GB PaperMatte Edition of MYR 3,500 ($860 / €745 / ₹82,500). This includes a keyboard or an M-Pencil Pro in the box. You can find it on the official Huawei Malaysia site.

We also spotted it in a few places in the Middle East too, e.g. in Saudi Arabia it is SR 3,300 – here’s a link to the Saudi store. In Qatar, the tablet is QAR 3,100. It’s also showing up in the UAE, but the Buy button doesn’t work.

We also spotted the tablet in a few other countries, but it’s not available there yet. Check your local Huawei.com to see if anything has changed. Note that the Sakura Pink model comes with the stylus, the other two come with the keyboard.

As a quick overview, the Huawei MatePad Air (2026) is a 12” tablet with a 144Hz OLED display (2,800 x 1,840px, 3:2). It is powered by the Kirin T93C chipset and a 10,100mAh battery with 66W fast charging. The body is made of aluminum and has a magnetic attachment point for the stylus plus pogo pins for the keyboard. There are 6 speakers on board.
