Own a piece of telly history as Cillian Murphy’s Peaky Blinders suit to be auctioned for charity
· IrishCentralIf you are a massive Peaky Blinders fan and fancy owning a piece of television history, you could be in luck as one of Cillian Murphy’s suits from the hit BBC series is headed for auction.
The suit was worn by the 48-year-old in the final scenes of the TV series, which were filmed near Buxton back in 2021.
The period-style, grey three-piece suit reportedly had a note in the pocket, which is thought to have been written by the Tommy Shelby star, which says ‘takes off ring’. A 10-page call sheet and a shirt tailored by Williams and Gill of Manchester also comes with the suit.
The suit is estimated to fetch between €1,200 and €2,300 in the Omega Auctions sale, which includes another Peaky Blinders memorabilia item.

One of the other highlights of the lot is a hat worn by Sam Claflin, who played fascist MP Oswald Mosley during series five and six of Peaky Blinders and is expected to sell for between €200 and €500.
Other Peaky Blinders items on sale include a coat worn by the late Helen McCrory as Shelby family matriarch Polly Gray in episode four of series three, which is expected to fetch between €200 and €500, and an array of shirts, shoes, suits, ties and other items worn by members of the cast.
All proceeds from the auction will go to The Christie Charity, which supports cancer patients and research at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester.
Dan Muscatelli-Hampson, auction manager at Omega Auctions, said: ‘These stunning pieces are genuine cultural artefacts – the craftsmanship, history, and star power behind them is exceptional.
‘We’re honoured to host the auction and support The Christie Charity in the process.’
In conjunction with the final day of the auction, a themed event will take place at the Peaky Blinders bar in Manchester on May 20.
Fans will have the chance to view a selection of costumes and join in on the bidding for the ones up for grabs.
Tickets for the event are free but must be pre-booked via The Christie Charity website, while the items can be viewed and bid for on the Omega Auctions website.
What a way for us to get excited for the Peaky Blinders movie coming out, hopefully later this year.
