BJP appointed a new national president on Tuesday, with Nitin Nabin taking oath after being elected unopposed. At 45, he has become the party’s youngest and 12th National President.

PM Modi congratulated Nitin Nabin, saying, "For the first time, the BJP secured a full majority on its own. Then, under Amit Shah’s leadership, the BJP formed governments in many states across the country."
He also said, "When it is about the party, Nitin Nabin is the boss, and I am a party worker."
Earlier, JP Nadda has also addressed the party leader. He extended heartfelt congratulation to Nitin Nabin.
"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi ji and the chairmanship of Nitin Nabin ji, the Bharatiya Janata Party will bloom the lotus in Bengal in the coming times. We will form the government in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. We will return to power in Assam, and we will deliver good results in Kerala as well. We are moving forward with this confidence."
Nitin Nabin has been elected unopposed as the 12th National President of the BJP. The announcement was made on Tuesday at the BJP headquarters. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi welcomed him by garlanding him. He has assumed charge as the National President.
Earlier, Nabin visited the Bhagwan Valmiki Temple, Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, and Jhandewalan Temple in Delhi and offered prayers. At 45, Nabin has become the youngest National President of the party. Before him, Amit Shah was elected National President at the age of 49.
The election for the post of president was held at the BJP headquarters on Monday. As no other candidate filed a nomination, Nabin was elected unopposed. Nitin was appointed the party’s Executive President on December 14, 2025.
