Twisha Sharma death case: In a massive breakthrough in the suspicious death of model-actor Twisha Sharma, her absconding husband Samarth Singh has surrendered at the Jabalpur District Court under heavy disguise after running for 10 days.

As per the advocate representing Samarth Singh, Jaideep Kaurav, the decision was taken just moments after withdrawing the request for anticipatory bail.
As a precautionary measure against possible identity disclosure, the accused reached the premises of the court completely masked with a face cover, sunglasses, and a cap. When asked about the murder charges levied against him and questioned about his involvement in the sudden death of his wife, Samarth Singh refused to give any reply.
"Mr Samarth Singh has reached to make himself surrendered. We are approaching the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) with an application." – Advocating lawyer, Saurabh Sundar said.

Victims' family skeptical about jurisdiction and influence of accused
While the family members of the victims remain deeply skeptical about the jurisdiction of the selected court of surrender, the victim’s uncle, Lokesh Sharma, has leveled several allegations against the accused.

- Mother (Giribala Singh)----->Retired Judge with a solid judicial network.
- Accused (Samarth Singh)----->Legal Advisor to the MP State Government.
- Jurisdictional Leverage ----->Able to use his judicial contacts in the courts.
"According to Lokesh Sharma, the Jabalpur District Court is like his own home ground where he can utilize his leverage for weakening the criminal case against him." The uncle made such allegations regarding the accused person.
'Broken ego due to public outrage': The victim's brother spoke
On the other hand, Twisha's brother Major Harshit Sharma hailed the act of surrendering as a great achievement on the way towards receiving justice. "If he was not guilty of any crime, why did he have to disappear for ten days instead of cooperating with the authorities?" said Major Harshit Sharma.
Coming 72 hours: Expert team from AIIMS Delhi for the postmortem examination
The next 72 hours are extremely crucial for the development of the case. On a clear mandate by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, a team of forensic experts from AIIMS Delhi is flying in to Bhopal for conducting a second full post-mortem investigation on the body of Twisha Sharma.
In parallel, the battle in court will heat up further come Monday, May 25, 2026, as a petition to revoke the bail order passed in favor of Giribala Singh, the co-accused mother-in-law, will be heard in the single judge bench of the High Court at 2:30 pm.
