The Unnao rape case victim levelled serious and sensational allegations against both the investigating officer and the judge, claiming that she was deliberately wronged during the investigation. According to her, the officer, in collusion with the judge, attempted to manipulate the case in favor of the opposing party.

The charges came as the Delhi High Court granted bail to expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and suspended his life sentence.

"The investigating officer has wronged me. He colluded with the judge to ensure that the other party won, so that the rape victim would lose, her courage would be broken, and she would not be able to pursue the case further," ANI quoted the survivor as saying.

She added, "Had the CBI stood with my lawyer, we wouldn't have had to see this day. We would have won, and they would have lost. This is an injustice that one family was intimidated while the other person was given a free pass. This means that the judge has taken so much money that there is no limit. Call the judge, I will confront him. This is my right."

Delhi HC Bail Order Details

Delhi High Court suspended Kuldeep Singh Sengar's life sentence on December 23, granting conditional bail pending his appeal against the 2019 conviction. Sengar, an expelled BJP MLA convicted of raping a minor in 2017 and fined Rs 25 lakh, must furnish a Rs 15 lakh bond, avoid the survivor's 5-km radius in Delhi, and report weekly to police. He remains in jail serving a separate 10-year term for the custodial death of the survivor's father.

CBI Challenges in Supreme Court

CBI filed a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court on December 26, contesting the High Court's suspension of Sengar's sentence in the Unnao rape case. The agency opposed bail during appeal hearings, citing the gravity of the conviction. Despite this, the survivor expressed frustration over CBI's earlier role, questioning why it did not back her lawyer.

"Had the CBI stood with my lawyer, we wouldn't have had to see this day. We would have won, and they would have lost," ANI quoted the survivor as saying.

Protests Erupt in Delhi

Delhi saw multiple protests against Sengar's bail, with police detaining activist Yogita Bhayana, Congress leader Mumtaz Patel, and others near Parliament on Saturday for a sit-in. Demonstrators raised slogans demanding bail cancellation. Earlier protests occurred outside the Delhi High Court, reflecting widespread outrage over the order.
