Timothée Chalamet Getting American Cinematheque Retrospective

Timothée Chalamet has barely cracked 30, but the Oscar-nominated star of “Marty Supreme” is getting a retrospective celebration from The American Cinematheque.

The in-person eight film celebration comes as Chalamet is up for Academy Awards for producing and starring in “Marty Supreme,” a drama about a ping pong player’s tangled personal life that recently became A24’s highest-grossing film. Chalamet recently picked up a Golden Globe Award for his performance, as well as the Critics’ Choice prize.

Chalamet, who has also been nominated for “A Complete Unknown” and “Call Me By Your Name,” is the youngest male actor to ever receive three Academy Award acting nominations, as well as the youngest to have their films collectively grossed $3 billion worldwide. He will next be seen in the third installment in the “Dune” franchise.

The retrospective features in-person conversations with Chalamet for “A Complete Unknown,” “Dune,” “Dune: Part Two,” “Interstellar,” “The King” and “Beautiful Boy.” Both the second “Dune” and “Interstellar will be shown in 70mm. The screenings will have special guests, including Denis Villeneuve, Christopher Nolan, Elle Fanning and Edward Norton. There will also be a “Call Me By Your Name” screening featuring an in-person Q&A with Chalamet, moderated by Zane Lowe, in partnership with Cinespia at the Los Angeles Theatre.

American Cinematheque tickets will go on sale Wed. Feb 4 at 12:00pm PT. Here’s a full schedule:
