‘Cliff Booth’ Movie Starring Brad Pitt Takes Over ‘Narnia’s’ Imax Slot This Thanksgiving
by Rebecca Rubin · Variety“The Adventures of Cliff Booth,” a sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” will debut on Imax screens this Thanksgiving.
Netflix has announced the film will get an exclusive two-week run in Imax starting Nov. 25 before landing on the streamer on Dec. 23. “Cliff Booth,” which brings back Brad Pitt as the aging stunt-man, is taking the slot from another Netflix release, Greta Gerwig’s “Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew.” Previously set for Thanksgiving 2026, “Narnia” has been delayed to 2027.

David Fincher is directing the film, which will be written by Tarantino. Plot details have been kept under wraps, though the logline teases the story takes place in 1977 — “and it’s a very different Hollywood.” That’s after the events of the original, which followed Leonardo DiCaprio and Pitt as aging actor and his longtime stunt double who are struggling to find their place in show biz. “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” which paid tribute to the golden age of Hollywood, was set in the late 1960s against the backdrop of the Manson family murders. (Margot Robbie plays Sharon Tate, the up-and-coming actress married to director Roman Polanski, who moves in next door.)
Pitt will star alongside Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis and Karren Karagulian.
