Ex-‘Bachelor’ Host Chris Harrison’s Next Dating Show ‘The Vow’ Sets November Premiere on Fox Nation

“Roses fade. True love lasts forever,” says Chris Harrison in a cheeky teaser for “The Vow,” his return to reality television five years after his controversial exit from the “Bachelor” franchise.

The new dating show premieres on Fox Nation on Nov. 11, with six episodes rolling out weekly until a series finale on Dec. 9. “The Vow” follows one eligible bachelor, 30-year-old Jace Cates, as he embarks on a “relationship journey” with 10 women looking for lasting commitment and marriage.

Per the description, the show will explore “whether shared values, faith, communication, and long-term goals can build a relationship designed to last long after the cameras stop rolling. At a time when much of modern dating culture is driven by fleeting connections and social media attention, the series offers a different approach by placing the focus on meaningful relationships, commitment and building a life together.”

The teaser for “The Vow” did not hold back on drawing the connection between Harrison and TV’s most iconic dating show. The host even throws a red rose — the symbol of “The Bachelor” — on the ground before threatening to step on it.

And “The Vow” will even feature an appearance from Sean and Catherine Lowe, whose love story unfolded on Season 17 of “The Bachelor” in 2013. The pair has been married since and is one of the most famous examples of a long-lasting relationship to form on reality television.

Other “Bachelor” alumni are on board as well, including executive producer Louis Caris, consulting producer Elan Gale as casting director Lindsay Liles and director Michael Shea. Executive producers also include Harrison’s wife, Lauren Zima, plus Lionsgate Alternative Television executives Nicholas Caprio and Tom Huffman.

Harrison hosted “The Bachelor” and all of its spinoffs from the series’ inception in 2002. He exited the franchise in 2021 after comments he made defending former contestant Rachael Kirkconnell drew sharp backlash and were perceived by some as racially insensitive. Kirkconnell was under fire after photos circulated online of her attending an antebellum plantation-themed party as a college student. Harrison apologized for his comments and stepped away from the “Bachelor” franchise temporarily, but Variety reported at the time that Harrison’s team became outraged with the “dragging-out process” surrounding his return “and was unhappy with the network and studio not publicly supporting Harrison.” So, the host negotiated an exit package and largely disappeared from the small screen in the following years.
