Describing the album in a statement, Raye says, “Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”
The British singer-songwriter is currently riding high on the success of “Where Is My Husband!,” which hit No. 1 in the United Kingdom and was nominated earlier this week for two BRIT Awards, including song of the year and best pop. Tonight, Raye is kicking off her 51-date sold-out arena tour, “This Tour May Contain New Music,” with shows planned for Europe, the U.K. and the United States. The U.S. leg of the tour begins on March 31.
In addition to her own tour, Raye was announced as a guest on Bruno Mars’ “The Romantic Tour,” kicking off in April and scheduled for stadium shows through the summer.
