Twickenham Film Studios, Miller Team on New Insurance Referral Service for Producers (EXCLUSIVE)

by · Variety

Twickenham Film Studios has launched Twickenham Investment Services, a new FCA-regulated introducer business that connects film and television producers with specialist insurance brokers, beginning with a partnership with Miller Insurance Services.

The initiative was unveiled at the Variety International Movie lunch during the Cannes Film Festival.

TIS operates on a referral-only basis, offering producers streamlined access to specialist insurance expertise in the media and entertainment sector. The service links clients to Miller, an independent specialist broker with Lloyd’s of London market access. The business is open to all producers regardless of whether they are based at the West London studio.

“Having spent many years working closely with the insurance market, I have seen first-hand how critical the right insurance structure is to the success of independent projects,” Superna Sethi, managing director at Twickenham Film Studios, said. “Twickenham Investment Services was created in response to the very real challenges independent feature film producers face in raising finance at a time when budgets are under increasing pressure.”

TIS is co-founded by Brinder Bharaj, whose background spans film insurance and executive production. Sethi’s own experience in the insurance market was also cited as central to the venture’s formation.

“Our partnership with Miller marks the first step in our launch and reflects a shared focus on responsiveness, transparency and delivering an exceptional client experience,” Bharaj said.

Susana Bramwell, head of media, film and TV at Miller, added: “Today more than ever, there is a market need for deep specialist insight, coupled with service excellence and strong claims support at every stage of a project, and this partnership is built to deliver exactly that.”

TIS had been running a soft-launch phase since early December 2025, working with a select group of industry participants. The press release states that the proportion of applications that resulted in completed deals exceeded initial expectations.

Founded in 1913, Twickenham Film Studios is one of London’s longest-running production facilities. Miller, for its part, brings more than 120 years of insurance heritage to the partnership.
