Corpse Found at Bangsar Construction Site, PDRM Investigates Possible Link to Missing UK Man
by Azri Azizan · WORLD OF BUZZA corpse was discovered at a construction site in Bangsar yesterday evening (June 4) around 5 PM, and PDRM is investigating if the body is linked to the missing UK man.
At the time of writing (June 5), Brickfields police chief Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said the man’s identity has yet to be identified and is still pending DNA test results.
In a statement, the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call for assistance to retrieve the body at about 5 PM. The body was discovered in the water-filled lift shaft of a building under construction in Bangsar.
In an official statement by PDRM earlier, 25-year-old John Michael John Johnson-Doyle was last seen on May 27 and his last known location was Bangsar.
Ku also said the missing person report was lodged by John’s father and since then, the police launched a large scale search operation around the location with about 30 personnel involved. However, PDRM said the identification process will take some time.
“The place where the body was found was quite hidden and in an area that was quite difficult to remove.”
“So, I ask that all parties not make any speculation, whether related to the reported disappearance of the missing person or otherwise,” Ku told the reporters.
