Investigation as man dies in Sligo, another man critical

Gardaí in Sligo are examining the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in his 20s at a house in the town.

They were alerted to a medical emergency that happened in the Maugheraboy area of Sligo last night.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man, also in his 20s, was taken to Sligo University Hospital for treatment.

His condition is believed to be critical.

An investigation is continuing, however it's understood foul play is not suspected.
