Fundraiser for repatriation of woman who died in Limerick

A fundraising campaign is under way in Limerick to help the family of 33-year-old Jady Cristine Pereira Rosa with repatriation and funeral costs.

Ms Pereira Rosa, a law graduate from Brazil, was found dead at an apartment on Lower Cecil Street on Friday morning.

Gardaí have launched a murder investigation and say they are following a line of inquiry.

It is understood that Ms Pereira Rosa was working with a cleaning company in Limerick and had many friends in the area. She has been described by those who knew her as kind and bubbly.

Her body was removed from the scene to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination was carried out by the State Pathologist.

Gardaí said the results of the post-mortem examination are not being released for operational reasons.

A Garda Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to support Ms Pereira Rosa's family.
