Liverpool are back in Champions League action tonight

How to watch Liverpool's Champions League match on TV for free tonight

by · Wales Online

Liverpool are back in Champions League action this evening and head into the clash in great form.

Arne Slot's side are top of the Premier League following their come-from-behind win over Brighton at the weekend.

The Reds will be hoping to carry over their domestic form into European football when they welcome a familiar face to Anfield tonight.

Bayer Leverkusen are the opposition and it is Reds favourite Xabi Alonso in the dugout for the visitors. The former midfielder was one of the favourites to succeed Jurgen Klopp this summer but the powers-that-be decided on Slot and they have, so far, been vindicated in their decision.

Liverpool have a perfect record so far this term in the Champions League, winning all three games, and they will hope that record continues tonight.

Here is everything you need to know about the game on Merseyside.

Team news

Slot has been boosted by the news Ibrahima Konate's arm injury is not as bad as first feared. The defender should be fit enough to feature against the German champions.

The Reds will, though, be without Alisson Becker, Diogo Jota, Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott.

Luis Diaz and Andy Robertson are pushing for starts.

As for the visitors, Martin Terrier and Nordi Mukiele are doubts and are carrying knocks into the match. Amine Adli has been ruled out.
