ITV Love Island star admits 'I lied about my age' during first stint in villa
by Monde Mwitumwa · Wales OnlineLove Island's Elma Pazar has confessed to fibbing about her age during her stint on the ITV2 hit dating series.
The Essex lash technician who graced our screens in the 2019 edition of the show was initially paired with Anton Danyluk.
On the Love Island Morning After podcast, hosted by Kem Cetinay and Arielle Free, Elma revealed her age deception.
She disclosed: "I lied about my age on Love Island. I tell everyone I'm 23, it's a real issue," before admitting, "I'm 26, but now everyone knows it because they said they couldn't lie for me."
Despite her actual age, Elma wouldn't have been the oldest islander; the average age that year was 24, with several participants older than her professed 23 years, reports OK!.
At that time, fellow contestants Amy Hart and Michael Griffiths were 26, Arabella Chi, Anna Vakili, and Maura Higgins were 28, while Tom Walker topped the list at 29.
Now at 31, Elma is gearing up for another chance at love as she prepares to re-enter the iconic villa in the upcoming All-Stars spin-off, which kicks off on Monday.
Speculation regarding who Elma will be matched with has sparked online with many fans betting on season two's Scott Thomas, aged 36, as her ideal partner.
A fan took to social media to express their support: "Elma and Scott Thomas all the way. She will be great and I really want her with Scott Thomas they are both such down to earth people."
Another suggested: "Her (Elma) and @scott.thomas will fall in love." A third chimed in with: "Both happy, smiley, funny, outgoing people they are the perfect match."
Elma had previously hinted at a possible appearance on the show after declining an offer for series one. "I was asked to do All Stars and I didn't go on it," she revealed to The Sun.
"My friend Georgia Steel was going on it, and she was like, 'Why don't you do it? ' but my head wasn't in the right headspace. Do you know what it is, I feel like I'm too old. I'm 31. I feel like I'm going to be a fossil and everyone else is going to be too young."
At that time, Elma acknowledged that she might consider joining the villa for the second series of the spin-off. She mentioned: "Maybe, who knows, if they ask me again - I know they cast in September, so maybe."
Love Island All Stars season two will premiere on Monday, January 13 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
