Thousands of fans storm out of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson without knowing winner
by Josh Holland, Alex Richards · Wales OnlineDuring the eagerly-anticipated match, Mike Tyson and Jake Paul faced a chorus of boos during the second half of their fight, leading to a mass exodus of fans before the conclusion in Texas.
Even with Netflix broadcasting the event globally, the spectacle failed to live up to expectations set by the initial buzz, prompting many to leave as soon as halfway through, reports the Mirror.
As Paul emerged victorious by Unanimous Decision over 'Iron Mike', with scores of 80-72 from two judges and 79-73 from another, the dwindling crowd's muted response was telling. This marked Paul's 11th victory in his 12-fight career, his single defeat coming at the hands of boxer and reality TV star Tommy Fury.

The fight itself was criticised for its subdued nature, with Tyson battling a knee injury that impaired his movement and Paul seemingly reluctant to push for a knockout – despite his corner's advice to take down Tyson now within reach. Commentator and former boxer Roy Jones Jr observed, "Mike doesn't have it anymore," lamenting "Legs are gone."
Addressing those who remained in the audience after the bout, Paul paid homage to his opponent, stating, "Mike Tyson, it's such an honour. Let's give it up for Mike, the greatest to ever do it. We wouldn't be here without him today with him, this man is an icon."
Paul expressed his admiration, saying: "It's just an honour to be able to fight him. It was really tough fight. I expected it to be.
"He was exactly what I thought. One of the greatest to ever do it. An icon. I was trying to hurt him a little bit. I was scared he was going to hurt me. I did my best."
The fight commenced with Paul utilising his youth to close the distance, land a jab, and swiftly retreat. Tyson managed to land a few solid body shots before the fighters clinched, prompting boos from the crowd.
The second round followed a similar pattern, with Paul attempting to evade Tyson's powerful blows before clinching again.
The third round began with a bang, as Tyson came out swinging, only to be met with a series of left hooks from Paul. Growing in confidence, the YouTuber continued to land heavy blows on a stationary Tyson, who appeared relieved when the bell sounded.
The fourth round saw both fighters miss jabs initially, but Tyson struggled to keep up with Paul, who picked his moments to strike the increasingly weary Tyson. Paul landed a solid one-two combination to start the halfway mark, while Tyson tried to use vertical movement to evade Paul's strikes, managing to land a stiff overhand right to conclude the round.
Tyson held his own in the sixth round, causing Paul to retreat from each attempted hit. The seventh saw both fighters exchanging powerful blows, culminating in Tyson landing a headshot.
However, by the final round, the fight was essentially over, with Tyson slow to rise from his corner stool. His once-famous power seemed diminished, and as the bell rang, the two fighters shared an embrace.
