Mike Tyson makes boxing retirement claim before calling out his next opponent
by Mark Whiley · Wales OnlineDespite his one-sided defeat to Jake Paul, Mike Tyson is up for fighting again - and even has an opponent in mind.
The 58-year-old boxing legend showed his age as he was outpointed by the much younger YouTuber-turned-fighter in a bout that left many fans underwhelmed and calling for Tyson to hang up his gloves for good.
The show, streamed on Netflix and held at AT&T Stadium in Texas, ended to the sound of boos with a clear victory for Paul - 80-72, 79-73, 79-73. Despite the nature of the loss and understandably sluggish performance, Tyson said he could fight on.

When questioned if we had seen the last of him in the ring, he responded: "I don't know. It depends on the situation. I don't think so."
Tyson then pointed out Logan Paul, Jake's older brother and WWE star. After the fight, Logan, who was present in the ring, exclaimed: "Motherf*****, I'd kill you, Mike!"
Speaking later, Logan added: "I think he wants money, I don't think he wants to fight me.” He went on to praise Tyson’s performance against his younger sibling, saying: "I f****** love Uncle Mike, he's just so...
"I mean, that was impressive, no? For a 58-year-old? He's tough, proud of him, weathered the storm against a young brute named Jake Paul. I think Jake let him live."
Meanwhile, Tyson expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating: "I knew [Paul] was a good fighter. I didn't prove nothing to anyone, just myself. I'm not one of these guys who goes out to please the world, I'm just happy with what I can do."
Paul praised his opponent, saying: "Mike Tyson, this is such an honour. He's the greatest to ever do it. He is an icon. It was an honour to fight him. He was exactly what I thought he would be."
