A body has been found in the search for a Welsh man who was reported missing in Turkey. Ben Crook was last seen on September 25 at Seven City Hotel in Antalya, a Turkish resort city, according to an appeal for his whereabouts which was circulated on social media.

The Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) said on Friday they were supporting the missing man’s family, while it is understood Gwent Police were working with Turkish police in a bid to locate Mr Crook, who was from the Abertridwr area of Caerphilly.

Tragically, a relative shared the news on social media on Friday night that a body had been found in the search for Mr Crook. The FCDO confirmed on Saturday: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Turkey and we are in contact with the local authorities.”
