Arne Slot's side can qualify for the UEFA Champions League knockout stages with a win at Anfield on Tuesday

Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League campaign continues tonight (January 21) as they aim to progress to the knockout stages of the competition. Arne Slot’s side are set to welcome Lille to Anfield in Liverpool’s final home fixture of the League Phase.
Liverpool have been in top form this season, currently sitting top of both the Premier League and Champions League tables. They avoided a goalless draw with Brentford on Saturday thanks to two injury time goals from Darwin Núñez, which saw them go six points clear with a game in hand.
The Reds are currently unbeaten in Europe and another win tonight would see them automatically qualify for the last 16. But their opponents are also enjoying an impressive run in the competition, picking up four wins and a draw since their opening day defeat to Sporting Lisbon.

Manager Bruno Génésio has guided the team to third place in Ligue 1, with Arne Slot well aware of the challenges the French side pose. Speaking to Amazon ahead of the game, the Liverpool boss said: “[Génésio] has a nice way of playing and it is always to win. The Lille fans must be happy that he’s there.
“They like to have the ball and press high, which is different to some of the low blocks we’ve faced in the competition. Then there’s also the threat of individual quality with players like Jonathan David too.”
Unlike most Champions League fixtures, Liverpool vs Lille will not be broadcast on TNT Sports, but there’s still a way to watch the game completely free.
