First look at Liverpool Christmas Markets 2024 as they open

The Christmas Markets have once again returned to the city. This year's markets opened to the public on Saturday, November 16 and are already in full swing on St George's Plateau and William Brown Street.

Every year the markets bring a massive helping of festive fun and atmosphere with something for all ages to enjoy. While kids enjoy the entertainment, rides and carousels, adults can pull up a seat at Alpine Bar or Karaoke Huts.

The markets bring food, rides and drinks for all to enjoy. Liverpool Christmas Markets is open from now until Tuesday, December 24. Visitors can enjoy the market from 11 am until 10 pm daily as long as weather permits. There will be special hours in place on Christmas Eve, closing at 5pm.

There's a variety of food options and a wide range of craft and gift traders offering unique items such as jewellery, Christmas ornaments, hand-crafted leather journals, woollen wears, unique art, hand-painted creative gifts, bottles of festive tipple, delicious cheese, and much more.

The Alpine Bar and Karaoke Ski huts are annual favourites and perfect for adults to unwind with some live entertainment. Expect traditional hot cider, mulled wine, beer, or something different like hot chocolate, coffee, bubble tea, and soft drinks.

Visitors can also enjoy the Tipi Bar's warm fire or soak up views in the Windmill Bar. The Bavarian Bar will offer live entertainment with smaller barrel and chalet bars scattered throughout the market.
