Neve Campbell's Sidney returns in 'Scream 7' trailer

Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Paramount Pictures released a poster and trailer for its upcoming slasher flick, Scream 7, on Thursday.

The 2 1/2-minute preview sees a couple getting attacked in the murder house from the first movie, which is now an AirBnB.

It also shows the return of Neve Campbell's perpetually hunted heroine, Sidney, who joins reporter Gale (Courteney Cox), to figure out the identity of the new copycat Ghostface killer, who is stalking her daughter Tatum (Isabel May).

The cast for Scream 7 will also include Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Roger L. Jackson, David Arquette and Joel McHale.

The film is set for theatrical release on Feb. 27.

Franchise creator Kevin Williamson directed the sequel.

Campbell appeared in the first five movies, dating back to 1996, but not the sixth, which was released in 2023.
