Incident reports show Renee Good sustained four gunshot wounds

Jan. 16 (UPI) -- More information is coming out about the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good in Minneapolis last week with the release of an incident report and emergency call transcripts.

Police and emergency operators released 60 pages of 911 calls and incident reports late Thursday, detailing the Jan. 7 shooting and aftermath.

The mother of three sustained four gunshot wounds after an interaction with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents: two in her right chest, one on her left forearm and another on the left side of her head.

Calls began pouring into emergency operators at 9:38 a.m. CST, shortly after the shooting. Callers reported an agent firing at Good because she would not open her car door and seeing "blood all over" Good.

In cellphone video of the incident, one bystander identified themselves as a physician and attempted to attend to Good before first responders arrived.

"I'm a physician," the bystander said. "Can I go check a pulse?"

An ICE agent refused the bystander and told them to back up.

"I'm a physician!" the bystander said.

"I don't care," the agent responded.

A 911 caller said Good had blood on her face and torso and reported that her wife, who was outside of the vehicle during the shooting, was trying to assist her while waiting for medics.

When first responders arrived at 9:42 a.m., Good had an irregular pulse and was not breathing. Emergency medics removed her from the vehicle.

Good was shot by ICE agent Jonathan Ross as she tried to drive away from agents who were trying to open her driver's side door. Ross fired at Good and her maroon Honda Pilot crashed into a parked car before being stopped by a utility pole.

Ross left the scene about 15 minutes after the shooting, the Minneapolis Police Department reports.

First responders reported that the crowd in the area became unruly, surrounding ICE agents attempting to leave the scene.

Good's killing has heightened tensions in Minneapolis as the Trump administration's operation to detain and remove immigrants in the city continues.

President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem have defended Ross' killing of Good, describing her as a "domestic terrorist." On Thursday, Trump threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota, which would deploy U.S. troops to the city against demonstrators.

Under the Insurrection Act, troops are able to take actions they are normally prohibited from taking on U.S. soil, including searching and arresting civilians.
