Trump announces tariffs at 'Make America Wealthy Again' event

April 2 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump announced tariffs on 180 global trade partners during a White House Rose Garden event dubbed "Make America Wealthy Again" Wednesday afternoon.

Trump announced 10% tariffs for most nations that export goods to the United States and more punitive reciprocal tariffs for 60 nations that impose tariffs and other trade barriers on U.S.-produced goods. Britain was among the nations hit with a 10% duty.
