Reports: Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater split up
by Karen Butler · UPIJune 9 (UPI) -- Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have split up after three years of dating, multiple media outlets reported.
EW.com said the couple went their separate ways several months ago, but Grande, 32, and Slater, 34, have not publicly confirmed the news.
"Ariana and Ethan broke up several months ago but they've remained friends since then and have nothing but respect and admiration for one another," Page Six cited an unnamed source as saying Monday. "This wasn't a decision they took lightly but realized they were better off friends than in a committed relationship."
People.com also quoted an insider as saying Grande is focusing on her summer concert tour and new album, Petal, which is set for release on July 31.
"She's seemed very happy. It's all been very positive vibes," the source said. "Being able to reconnect with fans after so many years made her very excited."
The two were married to other people when they met in 2023 on the set of the two-part movie musical, Wicked, where Grande played Glinda and Slater played Boq.
Grande divorced husband Dalton Gomez and Slater left wife Lilly Jay, the mother of his 3-year-old son, Ezra.
