UK snow maps show 'exact date' second snow blizzard hits UK in January
by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveUK snow maps show the exact date a SECOND 5cm per hour blizzard will hit the UK. A SECOND January snow bomb will batter the country - with 5cm per hour of the white stuff - as we head through the first month of the year and towards February.
WX Charts weather maps, which are compiled and projected using Met Desk data, suggest snow will bombard Scotland again on the evening of January 23. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester could all be in the firing line and worst-hit, with flurries lasting until January 24.
South-west England won't be spared, either, according to the data - which shows as much as 5cm per hour could be accumulating before the second month of the year arrives. At its heaviest, 5cm of the white stuff could blanket the country.

The Met Office forecast from January 17 onwards explains: "High pressure will lie close to the southeast of the UK initially, with generally settled conditions across many parts. Cloud amounts will be variable, with some frost and fog in the south and east, this slow to clear, but some rain in the far northwest."
In the forecast, which spans until late January, the Met Office went on to add: "A weakening frontal system looks like it will edge east across the UK over the weekend, before high pressure briefly builds back in from the west in its wake."
Its forecast, which was released on Sunday (January 12), goes on to state: "Low pressure then seems likely to increasingly influence the UK weather later in the period, with some rain and windier conditions affecting most if not all parts.
"Temperatures are likely to be generally a little above average, especially in the north, though more frost and fog patches are likely under clearer skies and lighter winds."
