This Morning star Ashley James revealed her three-year-old son was taken to hospital following a fall. The youngster, who she said could be 'quite dramatic' was taken to A&E following a mishap in the playground.

The ITV daytime show regular said she'd "crash landed back from a child-free weekend" to find her son, Alfie, complaining of a sore ankle. The former Made in Chelsea star also said her daughter Ada was under the weather, the Mirror reports.

Taking to her Instagram Story on Monday, Ashely revealed her partner Tommy Andrews had taken Alfie to A&E. She told her 436,000 followers: “We've had quite the dramatic start to the week."

She continued: "Definitely crash landed back from a child free weekend. So little lady was up poorly in the night. She’s not at nursery today as she’s a bit poorly. And then Tommy is at A&E with Alfie. So basically yesterday Alf fell in the playground before I got home. He loves the fireman’s pole but he basically fell from up high and he’s been complaining about his sore ankle.

“So Tommy is at A&E with Alf, and the thing is with Alf is he’s like quite dramatic so he really over eggs any illness, or he’s always asking for ice packs, is a bit of a drama boy. But he woke up this morning and still said his ankle was sore and then Tommy got him dressed and he was really crying. So that's us for the day."

Ashley, who said she had to take Ada to a "very important meeting", later updated fans to say: "Alf was faking it. So he's fine".
