Police issue update on missing Birmingham mum and baby

West Midlands Police has issued an update on a missing Birmingham mother-and-baby. Concern had been growing after the pair, named only as Aleena and her daughter Saharah, went missing on Monday, November 11.

The force issued a plea to the public on Friday evening, November 15, for help in finding them. The 36-year-old and her daughter, who is nearly two, were thought to be in the Stratford Road area of Birmingham.

The missing appeal on Birmingham Police's Facebook page was shared nearly 500 times by concerned members of the public. But Birmingham Police issued an update on Saturday to say they had been found.

The post thanked the public for their help in sharing their appeal. A Birmingham Police spokesperson said: "Missing Aleena and her daughter Saharah have been found. Thank you for sharing our appeal." Dozens of relieved residents commented under the post to welcome the good news.
