The wine could be a health risk for some customers

by · Birmingham Live

Bottles of wine are being pulled from shelves after customers were told 'not to drink it'. North South Wines Ltd has recalled bottles of Chill Bill Spritzy Red Wine.

The wine contains sulphites which are not on the label, the Food Standards Agency said. It means the wine could be a health risk for some people.

Products affected are 75cl bottles, with lot numbers L4011B1 and L4185B1. Customers should not drink these bottles and instead return them to the store where they purchased them from.

The FSA said: "North South Wines Ltd recalls Chill Bill Spritzy Red Wine because it contains sulphites which are not declared on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

"If you have bought the above product and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites do not consume it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund (with or without a receipt).
