Disney Plus and Hulu are two of my go-to streaming services to find my space fix (Disney has Star Wars and Avatar films, while Hulu has Futurama and the Alien franchise is on Hulu), but there's a lot more there if you know where to look. The classic 1955 Man in Space special, for example, is hosted by Walt Disney and Wernher von Braun, and don't get me started on the classic film The Black Hole from 1979, which I've loved since I was a kid.

This deal means that not only can you stream your favorite sci-fi movie franchises (take your pick from the Alien universe, Predator series, Star Wars and more), but you'll also be able to find some gems of space and science fiction history if you do a simple search for "space."

I mentioned The Black Hole because I had a massive poster of the film on my wall as a kid, and now have the anniversary DVD edition in my library on top of what I can stream on Disney+. But Man In Space is also a formative series from Disney at a time when astronauts had not yet flown in space.

You'll also find a wealth of National Geographic documentaries, like 2018's Mars: Inside SpaceX, a view at the pre-Starship days of Elon Musk's Mars-focused space company, and another classic: The Cat From Outer Space from 1978, which my family had on VHS and still holds up as a family romp (who doesn't love space cats?).

The monthly $4.99 price gives you access to both streaming sites for 12 months, but after that year is up, the price will auto-renew at the regular rate.
