OFFICIAL: Tunisia confirm new coach for World Cup
by Kickoff Reporter · KickOffTunisia have decided to bring in a new coach after sacking Sabri Lamouchi following the 5-1 loss to Sweden in their 2026 FIFA World Cup opener.
The Tunisian Football Federation officially announce Lamouchi's departure on Monday.
However, the North African side have moved swiftly to announce the appointment of Herve Renard as their new coach.
"The Tunisian Football Federation announces the appointment of Hervé Renard as coach of the national team until the end of the 2026 World Cup, with him starting his duties this evening, and with the same financial privileges," the statement read.
The agreement also stipulates that negotiations will be opened after the end of the World Cup participation, for long-term cooperation based on specific sporting objectives.
A press conference will be organized for the new national coach at the training ground half an hour before the start of the training session.
