Mumbai: Three men suspected of opening fire on actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai have been detained at Kota railway station in Rajasthan on Monday, October 19. One of them is a juvenile.

The trio were picked up while travelling by train, in a joint operation by the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and the Kota City Police. They are being interrogated at the Kota City Police Station, the news agency reported.

The Mumbai Police have not yet confirmed the detentions or said whether the three will be brought to the city. Police said earlier that tracing the shooters was the main challenge before investigators.

The case has been moved from the Juhu police to the Mumbai Crime Branch because of the seriousness of the offence, officials told PTI. Investigators are examining all angles, including possible links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

A viral social media post claimed the gang was behind the attack. Police have yet to verify its authenticity.

6 shots fired at Tiger Shroff

The firing took place around 7 pm on Sunday, October 18, when Shroff was returning by car after playing football. According to the complaint, two men approached the vehicle as it left the school grounds and turned left, and fired at it from the front and the left side with pistols. They fled soon after.

Shroff was unhurt. His caretaker and driver, Firdos Ibrahim Baloch, was injured, and another person in the area was also hit by a bullet.

The Juhu police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against three unidentified persons under Sections 109(1) (attempt to murder) and 3(5) (criminal acts done in furtherance of common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with provisions of the Arms Act.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met the actor after the attack.
