Las Vegas Walmart reopens after shootings inside, outside store
by Glenn Puit / Las Vegas Review-Journal · Las Vegas Review-JournalA Walmart that was the scene of a fatal officer-involved shooting in Las Vegas on Tuesday has reopened, the company said.
Police said a fight involving multiple people broke out inside the store at 5198 Boulder Highway near Nellis Boulevard, just after 6 a.m. During the fight, a man shot another man inside the store, leaving him in critical condition.
The gunman then emerged from the store with a gun and was fatally shot by police as they arrived at the scene, according to Metropolitan Police Department Capt. Brandon Oris.
The names of the shooting victim and the individual killed had not been released by authorities as of Wednesday. Police were expected to provide a detailed briefing on the shooting in the coming days.
