Pedestrian killed in southeast Las Vegas crash

A pedestrian died Monday in a southeast Las Vegas crash.

The crash occurred just after 7:10 a.m., according to the Metropolitan Police Department release.

The crash near the intersection of Pecos Road and Hacienda Avenue. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where they pronounced dead.

The driver has remained on scene, and impairment is not believed to be a factor currently.

Please avoid the area as the investigation is still ongoing, the police say.
