Trump stuns with 'interior design update' on Lincoln Bathroom while Americans get 'poorer'

Millions of Americans are about to lose their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) amidst a government shutdown. And President Donald Trump, on his way to Mar-a-Lago Friday, posted an update on Truth Social about renovations made to the Lincoln bedroom's bathroom – stunning many on social media.

"I renovated the Lincoln Bathroom in the White House. It was renovated in the 1940s in an art deco green tile style, which was totally inappropriate for the Lincoln Era. I did it in black and white polished Statuary marble. This was very appropriate for the time of Abraham Lincoln and, in fact, could be the marble that was originally there!" Trump posted, with pictures showing the new look.

Journalist Yashar Ali reposted it on X, saying snarkily, "President Trump with an interior design update."

In response, one commenter said, "'Millions are gonna starve, but hey, I sh—— on marble.' Donald 'Marie Antoinette' Trump."

Self-described political junkie Russell Drew wondered, "Who paid for the renovation of the Lincoln Bathroom in the White House? Also, Qatar? Or maybe a shadowy Republican megadonor? Donald Trump has long been obsessed with water pressure, so maybe that's the real reason!"

"Former Republican" posted in a tweet, "Poor rural white people fell for the grift of a Manhattan billionaire conman, thinking they would become rich too. Instead, he's just making them poorer while literally tearing down all of America's pillars."

Former White House reporter Ron Fournier wondered, "Did we elect a president or an interior designer?
