Kevin Spacey reaches out-of-court settlement in civil suit with three accusers
· GOSS.ieKevin Spacey has reached an out-of-court settlement in a civil suit with three accusers, avoiding a trial.
The actor was due to go to trial at the High Court later this year, after three men brought a civil case against him.
However, in a move that has now frozen the legal proceedings, Kevin has reached an out-of-court settlement.
In 2023, the actor was found not guilty on all nine counts of sexual assault in the UK.
Two of the men who accused the Hollywood actor during the original trial then filed civil cases at the High Court.
The 66-year-old has always denied any wrongdoing, claiming the motivations of the accusers were “money, money and then money.”
In 2024, the actor denied any accusations of “illegal” behaviour, ahead of the release of a Channel 4 documentary exploring shocking allegations against him.
In an interview with former GB News presenter Dan Wootton, titled Kevin Spacey: Right Of Reply, the Oscar-winner said he won’t allow himself to be “baselessly attacked”.
Spacey said: “I take full responsibility for my past behaviour and my actions, but I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologise to anyone who’s made up stuff about me or exaggerated stories about me.”
“I’ve never told someone that if they give me sexual favours, then I will help them out with their career, never.”
“…I’ve clearly hooked up with some men who thought they might get ahead in their careers by having a relationship with me.”
“But there was no conversation with me, it was all part of their plan, a plan that was always destined to fail, because I wasn’t in on the deal.”
