Beyoncé becomes fifth musician to achieve billionaire status
· GOSS.ieBeyoncé has officially been declared a billionaire, becoming the fifth musician to achieve such a milestone.
The legendary singer has joined the likes of Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Rihanna, and her own husband Jay-Z in the billionaire club of musicians.
According to Forbes magazine, the 44-year-old finally reached billionaire status this year following the phenomenal success of her two world tours.
In 2023, her Renaissance World Tour grossed nearly $600 million.
The following year, she reinvented herself by releasing her Grammy-winning country album Cowboy Carter, before staging the world’s highest-grossing concert tour of 2025.
In total, the Cowboy Carter Tour grossed more than $400 million in ticket sales, and another $50 million in merchandise sold at the shows.
Combining what she made touring with earnings from her music catalog and sponsorship deals this year, Forbes estimates she brought in $148 million in 2025 before taxes, making her the third-highest paid musician in the world.
While the singer has expanded her business empire, including a hair care brand (Cécred), a whiskey label (SirDavis), and a clothing line (Ivy Park, which was discontinued in 2024), Forbes noted that most of her personal wealth comes from her music.
This is largely down to the fact that every aspect of her career is produced through her own company, Parkwood Entertainment, which she founded in 2010.
The company manages her career and produces all of her music, documentaries and concerts, fronting most of the production costs in order to secure higher profit margins.
“When I decided to manage myself, it was important that I didn’t go to some big management company,” she said during a 2013 interview promoting her self-titled album, Beyoncé.
“I felt like I wanted to follow the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse and have my own empire and show other women when you get to this point in your career you don’t have to go sign with someone else and share your money and your success—you do it yourself.”
