Highly influential people are behind Ghana Jollof- COP Lydia Donkor

Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, has disclosed that behind TikToker Ghana Jollof are highly influential Ghanaians.

Speaking before the media at the Police Headquarters in Accra on Friday, September 18, 2026, COP Donkor disclosed that “Forensic examination of the audio and video files on the mobile devices, as well as mobile money records, revealed that highly influential persons transferred significant sums of money to Salomey”.

She noted that, the police know the highly influential people behind the activities of Ghana Jollof even though she kept it private.

She said “We know the high-profile persons funding them, from the phones”.
