John Eustace names Derby County team to face Luton Town as star man absent

by · Derbyshire Live

Derby County head coach John Eustace has been forced into one change for this afternoon's crunch Championship survival clash against Luton Town.

Goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom is absent and has been replaced by Josh Vickers for the game at Pride Park in what is the only alteration from the team which held Portsmouth to a 2-2 draw last weekend.

It is not Vickers' first rodeo of the season with the former Lincoln goalkeeper having started the campaign for Derby while they were waiting to finalise Zetterstrom's move from Djurgarden.

In what is set to be a 3-4-2-1 formation, Vickers is in goal behind the back three of Sondre Langas, Matt Clarke and Nat Phillips with Kane Wilson and Craig Forsyth being handed wingback duties.

In midfield are skipper Ebou Adams, Harrison Armstrong, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Marcus Harness. Jerry Yates leads the line up front.

On the subs bench, Rohan Luthra is drafted back into the fold as reserve goalkeeper while Ben Osborn is back fit again after a hamstring problem. Liam Thompson, Tom Barkhuizen, Kayden Jackson, Jake Rooney, Lennon Wheeldon, Erik Pieters and Kenzo Goudmijn make up the bench.
