David Ozoh injury latest after Derby County midfielder carried off on stretcher
by Leigh Curtis · Derbyshire LiveDavid Ozoh is set to undergo a scan after John Eustace said the Derby County midfielder suffered a thigh injury in the defeat by Millwall at Pride Park on Saturday.
The on-loan Crystal Palace midfielder needed to be carried off on a stretcher in the second half of the 1-0 defeat as the club's relegation fears deepened.
He will now be assessed to determine the severity of the injury with the 19-year-old having been one of the better performers for Derby before he had to be withdrawn.
It looked to be a problem with his hamstring, and Eustace said he would also undergo further inspection.
Speaking after the game, Eustace said: "He has a muscle injury in his thigh so we will have to assess that and see how he is.
"Clarkey came off and I don't know whether it is cramp or a slight strain. We will have to assess that and have a look."
Left-back Callum Elder was not in the squad at the weekend either while Derby also have Curtis Nelson (knee), Dajaune Brown (hamstring), Corey Blackett-Taylor (hamstring) and Kane Wilson (hamstring) on the sidelines.
Derby face Middlesbrough next weekend and are in a desperate need of a result after Hull City's surprise win at promotion-chasing Sunderland left them four points adrift of safety.
They are now second from bottom of the Championship table with Luton Town, who face Watford in the lunchtime kick-off today.
