At least 10 killed after fire tears through retirement home
by Josh Milton · MetroAt least 10 people have been killed and two injured after a fire ripped through a retirement home in Spain today.
The blaze broke out at the Jardines de Villafranca nursing home in the Zaragoza town of Villafranca de Ebro at 5am.
Ten people died from smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is unclear.
The fire has since been extinguished, with the elderly residents having hunkered down in the living room.
